how do i get some 0awg power cable through the bulk head of a 318is??? anyone advise??? i read the articles section, said to go through the drivers side,, but which gromet to use?? etc :)

anyone help me?? been a month without my sound system and im getting bored.... has resulted in putting my foot down more :twisted: need bass to calm me down a bit ;)

i went thre the passenger side. look near the fuse box, just below it and you'll see some wires going threw.

looks abit small for a 0 awg??? am i looking at the right one?? would be preferable fort the driver side, as it would save me 2 meters of 0awg power.. whcih is quite expensive :)

look behind the battery, you should see the wiring harness going threw.

I went from behind the glove box,if you pull the carpet back a tad your see a rubber grommit with cables runing through the bulkhead..

Remove the grommit byt slicing it with a stanley(be carefull),then add another hole to it which will take yer Power cable,then fit the grommit back.. :)

Its an easy task and it still leaves all the sound deadening in place without making any more 'open' holes to yer engine bay

mine did.. and its the only grommit as far as i know Behind the Glove box that leads to the engine bay

take your glove box out (easy) and you will see it. you will have to pierce the grommit, and poke a bit of wire threw. its easier to spot it from the engine bay this way

is it the same on the IS, i just had a look and theres loads of stuff blocking it from the engine bay... also,,, to remove glove box its the 3 nuts on the bottom right?

there is one nut in each corner at the bottom, and when you open the glovebox there is one nut in each corner. the grommit and hole to bonnet is just behind the carpet.
