only kidding myeslf mate
the smoked lights have no impact whatsoever on the elipsioid beams, or high beams, and quite easy to DIY (guide on the tech forum explains all, and if you are fitting angel eyes it is a good oppertunity to smoke your lights.
AND.... putting the cross in the main beam stops internal reflections from the angel eyes and makes the ring stand out, normally there are internal reflections from the main beam mirror that take away the impact from the halo.
as for your question the colour of the light is dictated by the colour of the LED or bulb which is directed around the glass/plastic halo and directed forward by little cuts in the ring, mine are slightly different as they are a flexible neon system which i found from surelight.co.uk, they have several colours but for the angel eye kit its aqua (or chav blue
have a look it may be the colour you want.
personally i prefer this type as during the daylight hours the rings are not so visible as the big plastic ring style.
AND retro fit zenons, now over here that would be Chav

Don't listen to 'im Mr. Lee, he must be a chav. Check out his lack of full stops or capital letters for proof
