I have an old JVC head unit, and the rest of the ICE is standard..... I want to upgrade all of this, but I don't want to rip the car apart, ie cut large holes for large speakers!!! I also don't want to fill the boot with large boxes etc. In my E46 I have a Sony active sub attached to my standard kit, and this works really well, but my E30 gets driven much harder (chucked round corners winkeye , will spend more time on the track winkeye ) than my E46, so I don't think this is the answer....

What have others got?

Put 6x9's in the parcel shelf. Get some sony 4 ways, this is what i have. Raise them a bit so no holes need to be cut. Mine were already professionally cut when i got mine. Then put 100w's in the front behind the kick pannels. Also door pannels if you want to mod them, but i think they look a bit tacky. :?

Also i put a amp in my boot, slim down the back of the seats backs.

Its tasteful! :thumb:
