Ok So ive had my 318i for about a year now and ive had a few wee mods done...

MtechII Spoiler
Lowered 35mm
15inch alloys...which are now off and the steelies are on.

I'm needing some advice.

Im wanting to do most of the modding on a budget.

First off is the bumpers.. i would prefer not to buy new bumpers and get the sprayed etc and Im wanting to go for this look:

As the bumper comes in 3 parts as below, can that look be achieved just by painting the top and bottom sections of the bumper, and leave the middle sections?

Im also wanting some sort of lip spolier for the front, I like this one:

Anyone know what one it is and how much it would cost? A link wuld be great! Also do they just sort of bolt on to the bottom of the bumper?

Next up is lights... Im wanting the smoked Hella look but dont want the expense, I noticed a tutorial in the "Articles" section I think but is this legal?

Im getting Alpina reps either 17inch or 18inch depending on price, as the car is lowered 35mm already, how much lower can I go?

Last but not least I'm wanting the interior centre console retrimmed in black suede, I can get the suede no problem and I was going to give it a bash myself, has anyone tried this?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Stuart Forrest.

first of the bumper is two pieces. the black plastic is the rubbing strip, it can be taken off and then the bumper can be sprayed.

the hellas can be done DIY style and there is no legal issues if done correct.

i would go for 17 inch alpinas over the 18's. firstly a four stud 18" stead is very unlikely, and the ride would be compromised especially as you want to go lower. the lowest i would go is 60 all round, but to have no rubbing issues the correct offset for wheels is needed. panesar has a 60 drop all round and by looks of it dont think any lower would be wise.
