Stripping Paint

Does anyone know of a quick, effective way of stripping old paint from the plastic parts of an MTech kit?
There must be an alternative to hours of rubbing / scraping / sanding

nitromors? parafin? plus heat?

Thought Nitromors melted plastic?
And I can just imagine me with a blowtorch trying to scrape the paint off especially after soaking it in paraffin

General rule, if the paint stripper comes in a plastic bottle, then it's OK on plastic... but for Gods sake don't take this as gospel, try on the back of the kit first....

Or try brake fluid!

DOH!!!!! :stupid: Plastic bottle...........Had'nt thought about that but it seems logical. I'll give it a try

Be careful, there are many different types of plastics, so what works fine on one plastic may melt another one. Do you really have to get all the old paint off? If you plan on giving them a full respray, then you only need to scrape off any flaking paint and flat the rest of the paint.

I agree, i deffo wouldnt use paint stripper on plastic.

Best way to do it is get a air blaster and used crushed up walnut shells.
