Just a quickie - but where is best place to get front car mats for my 1989 320i convertible ? Need to be right, with correct fitments, etc. Thanks.

There are sets of "original" mats on eBay, though I'm not sure exactly how original these are.
Still, they have the holes for the clips for the driver's side so I don't see a huge problem even if they aren't the real thing.

I'm after a set myself at the moment but not sure if I want beige to match the carpet or black to break up the colour.

The Linwar Motors mats are the best ones available in my opinion. Very close to original colour and quality and good fitting kit. Had mine for 2 years now and they still look like new. I think if you mention the zone you'll get a discount. You can phone them direct and pay by card and they'll be with you in 48 hours. Very helpful people too.

the mats are ok a bit more expensive than most i was dissapointed when i opened them as there is a bit of a play on words in their advert when someone advertises "original" i expected to open a bag with bmw written all over it as they come up on ebay from time to time but these are not bmw but copies .......there was a thread a few months ago though where someone on here quoted the zone to get a discount and was told this offer was for a limited period and no longer available to zoners

I seem to remember being told that BMW discontinued supplying replacement mats for the E30 and therefore the original manufacturer is now supplying them via a few retailers (Linwar being one of them). I bought grey ones and they are an exact match to the carpet (after a shampoo). I can only speak as I find. Sorry if you are disappointed.
