yes, but looking at r3v (i think it was) - you can cut out the dimples in the metal without weakening the structure to let the bass through.

There is a company in america who do a kit which involves using pipes to get the bass into the interior of the car

I'm sure they'd sound lovely on a decent amp!!!

Tbh, for that kind of money, I would go for some second hand W7's (if you wanna stick with JL) and save a bit of money for the amp/installation!!!
I was planning on putting a small sub inside the cabin somewhere in my cabby - but if I put a sub/subs in the boot, I would prob go for a 12" personally - maybe a 10" to save some space!!!

Depends what you listen too, how loud you want it, what sound you like, etc!!!
Those 8's should be punchy winkeye
327 Touring with bass!!!

i like the usual rnb, drum and bass, and classic jungle :D

space is an issue for me, and also weight. I just did a m52 conversion and dont want to slow the car down too much.

getting it from the usa works out to £350 delivered.

i prefer 2x12's myself in a sealed box, not sure what these jl's would be like.

the amp of choice is this one:
