Hi my fellow zoners. I have an aftermarket stereo I would like to fit to my 1990 316i 5door e30. The problem I have had an aftermarket stereo fitted, so it still has the factory fitted "Blaupunkt windsor SQR 38" fitted. I have an iso connector for my aftermarket stereo, but I need to know which wire goes with what. Here are some links to the pics so you know what I'm dealing with. Any diagrams will be much appreciated. Thanks for reading. (sorry for mini essay and structure, was using my mobile!). Ryan aka Stokiedundee.

There are ISO wiring diagrams and connector pinouts here:

Most are standardised, with some slight differences, for instance, Vauxhall has a different wiring to most.

Think I'm just gonna go to halfords and get them to fit it for me as I cant find the correct diagram. Its £30 for halfords to do it and it will end up saving me from messing up my electrics.

Thanks for the help though.

Chicken! From this photo, your existing wiring looks very straightforward:

Probably just an earth, a permanent +12V, an ignition-switched +12V and possibly one for the electric aerial trigger (if fitted).

It would take you all of 5 minutes with a multimeter or even a test lamp to establish which does what.
