ET20 should be fine. BBS are et24, which means they sit 4mm further into the arches, & are obviously narrower. That means you *could* run into arch clearance issues, depending on what tyres you go for.
There's a tyre size calculator here: http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html

Hartge are also 16" and 7.5J - I run 205 profile on mine, so if you don't go any wider I don't *think* you would hit the arches at an extra 5mm sticking out
what happened to the 15" BBS, Missy?
disclaimser - everything I say is probably wrong

i'm running 215/40/16's on ET28 (approx, measured...) alpina replicas. they never get near scrubbing. it's also -40mm with springs that are far too soft and the suspension bottoms out at the moment! no scrubbing though.
you should be absolutely fine.
the 17" BK171 alpina reps are ET20 and mine scrubbed like a shite with them on and with the same suspension setup.

Missy- you'll be fine with 7.5 by 16 with et20. i have the same size and have no problems at all. 215/40/16 rubber will be fine too. ideal is 215/45/16 but not many good tyres in this size.
