I need some input regarding the above alloys. i think a few people on here have them. need to know what size 15 or 16 and what size tyre would be perfect for an e30 without having to modify anything. And whats the cheapest i can get them for. currently the car is on the standard suspension and am thinking of lowering it . would like advice on how much ?? .what springs I dont want it too low. Its a 318 alpine white cab.
many thanks in advance.

15 or 16 inch fit under standard arches up to 7.5 inches wide, any more and you really need to roll the rear arches, and fronts fouls the wheel arch liner. Tyres are either 205/50 or 205/45, but 45 can look a bit thin and throw the speedo off.

With regards to lowering 40mm is enough to fill the arches and still maintain a drivable car, any more and the sump suffers and the suspension runs out of travel. You can lower with springs only but better shocks will help. Buy what you can afford, but get the 4 cylinder cab specific ones, at lower end of price range try Pi at upper end you get H&R, KW etc

I have 7.5" et 25 and 9" et 20 with 195/45 16 and 215/40 16.

Rear arches are rolled, tyres stretched and lowered with SPAX -40 springs and shocks.

It's too firm/stiff and I'm looking at ways to loosen up the car a little so it drives better (although it looks spot on imo). Thinking H&R springs -25 to replace the Spax or trying the original alloys back on with the taller sidewalls (205/50 15).

Sorry to hijack thread but would 16x9J ET20 lenso's be fine on the front without mods, with 205/45/16 tyres.
