As the title says, would i benefit from one? I run two 12" subs bridged off a single 4 channel amp.
Also, who does door builds for the E30, ive seen the audioscape ones and they look very good quality, but i'm not paying Ԛ£180!! I know they cant be that hard to make with a bit of glassfibre etc., but i know mine will turn out shite!

It would not hurt it. Best advice ive heard, generally, is if you can notice the headunit facia dim when the infra kicks in, you need a cap
Pete don't care about colour, He would shag a rainbow if he could find the end of it....

i personaly say that these r a waste of money IMO. id just bite the bullet and buy a gel battery u can find them on ebay for bout 100 notes and they just replace ur original battery. then u can also benefit from runnin ur install all day with out the need to keep startin the car in fear of a flat battery as it wont happen with a gel. will post pic shortly

I got one of those batteries.
If your battery is under the bonnet, put the second one in the boot (where the 325's have it). Then use a split charging system to run them.

i have a pair of door builds if you want them. 35 notes. postage is Ԛ£7.20 to mainland uk or you can collect them. they require trimming - budget somewhere between 35 and 50 for dash matching vynal. they take 6 1/2 inch drivers.
here's a picture of a pair trimmed and fitted:
mostly interior - but you can see the build

These look good mate!, i can trim or get them trimmed myself, silly question though, how are you attatching them to the door cards?
Also, i planned to fit 17cm's but do you reckon they will run ok off my headunit? (4x50w) i dont really want to have to put another amp in.

i've used about 6 screws to fit them to the door card and 1 screw to screw them all the way though to the inner door skin. the door cards are replacement items from a scrappy so i can put it all back to standard should i choose. i have ported mine into the doors and dynamatted both inner and outer door skins - this is a lot of work but it makes a difference. a comprimise result is achieved by packing the build with wadding if porting is decided against.
downsides: the glovebox rests on top of the passengers side build so it doesn't open fully by about 1 inch. no worries except don't forget to close the glovebox before closing the passengers side door. the build prevents the sport seats sliding fully forwards - so short people may not be able to reach the pedals. other than that they are soo so good it's unbelievable.
your headunit will run them - but an amp will make a massive difference.

Ok mate, thanks anyway, but my interiors pretty mint so i dont wanna go cutting it up! (i know i can get new ones but scrappies are suprisingly sparse round here!)
good luck with selling them though, they look like you've done a real good job
