Standard alloys. (just a guess though). Some of the traders may have a beetter idea as they have probably posted them in the past.

I have a bare 15" bbs in the garage & I'll weigh the RS's at the same time

the 8.5 rs002's are the same if not fractionally lighter than the 7.5 rs001's somehow - about ~6kg, the single piece are like 7.5, maybe more..

I have some BSA 14's at home & swear to god, with tires they are about the same as a bare 15" bbs, just depends if you can hack the lightweightiness combined with baloon tires

borbets, borbet b's are like millstones

Just checked on the bathroom scale, Borbet B 16x9 with 225/40 tire and it came in at around 17-18kg.

that's what I thought.. A little lighter than the evidence suggests by all accounts, but depends what tire, how close to the canvas it is, and how accurate your bathroom scales are.. If you're saying it's lighter than it is, you're just kidding yourself..

The reason I slag borbets is because my B 7.5's were noticeably (and I mean oooh) heavier than the equivalent hartges..

The thing is, it's all well and good saying wheels are light, but weight distribution and gyroscopic effect at speed is a factor, it's all apparent where the dosh has gone when you're tanking along

To be truthful, tire weight is more important than wheel weight

Just tried it on a digital bathroom scale for the laugh, 14.7kg. Tried a few different locations of loading the scale and got the same reading each time. I've no idea how accurate that scale it though!

Wonder how much heavier they are than your RS' Rav!

This is by no means a scientific experiment and don't take my measurements as fact! :D

I bought some bathroom scales recently and they seem fairly reliable, but feel some calibration is in order... they're not set up to weigh <10kg really

imo it'll help if it's spring over digital but then, do you weigh the wheel itself? or subtract your weight from the one read with you holding the wheel?

I get different values with both these methods.

Kitchen scales run out of boing at 5kg

Hehe, these scales are not very accurate! The 14.7kg was with the wheel on the scale, the earlier 17-18kg was with me standing on the scale and with and without the wheel.

I just did the same on the digital scale, stood on it with and without the wheel and get a different reading again, I get approx 23.2kg difference on the digital scale  23kg is probably closer to it's actual weight than 15-18kg was.
