Now that I've got the car back from being painted, I can't decide whether I should put a 325i badge on the back or not. I like the bit of 'jewelry' on an otherwise unornamented car, but I also like the low-key stealth look of no name badge.
What's the verdict, gang?

As it's a 325i I'd say go for the badge.
It might be mistaken for something lesser if you don't put it on.
Although if you actually want to have people race you because they think it's a 316i or something then leave it off.
Personally I'd have the badge

my bro has the 325i on his sport and it does make it look very genuine and clean. on my 325i there is no badge, hence why a mod, saxo found out the hard way the other night:)hehe its to close to call.

Similar to what I said earlier, if you actually want twats racing you at every opportunity then leave the 316 badge on it.LOOPYLEE1965 wrote:ive just got a new bootlid off wayneE30 and its still got the 316 badge on an im debateing wether to leave it on when i fit it on my 325i ?? sorry to jump in on your thread mate
It all boils down to how much you need to show the Saxos/Novas etc. who's boss

I had my 325i badge removed. Nice clean look.
However, I have rcently acquired an 'E30' badge and that will be going in where the 325i badge was.

in response to the original post, I would leave it off, particularly if the car is looking so spanking after new paint. You know what you have got, it don't sound like a 316 either does it.
I wish people would race me, nobody seems to be bothered around here! But I do have a 325i badge in black on mine

I've got a white 318iS and was thinking as I'm getting some black rims for it at the weekend and I've already got black kidneys, I was thinking about getting the bootlid badge from the stealers and spraying that black too....
I'd put the badge on it my friend, be proud of your 325 and let people know what it is, after all they're special cars and should be regonised as such.
You'll soon get bored of blasting the saxo boys into hyperspace, personally I find them less intrusive when they don't even bother trying...

debadge - every time.
do you have your name tattooed on your forehead? what is it with the human need to label everything?
you'll have twin exit pipes of a decent diameter at the back - all the information anyone ever needs.

I've got my bootlid bebadged, the BMW roundels have been changed for Hamann ones. Yes I know thats sad but the originals were faded and the Hamann ones cost less then genuine.
The car also has a single exit standard exhaust on it so it really does look like a 318i thats been debadged.
I don't know what to do, keep it debadged or admit what motor is in there.
I'm sure the novelty of whooping chavs in their underpowered, over wheeled tepid hatches will soon wear off.

Thought I'd just chuck my tuppence worth in. What about on the front grill or on the front wing behind the wheel? Never heard of doing them black, like the idea of that to go with the dechrome. Mine came debadged and I can't be arsed sticking it back on. Also I figure if it's going to get nicked it's more likely if you're advertising what it is.

I reckon you should keep it a sleeper!fozzymonster wrote:I'm debadged at the rear like Reedy, bonnets gonna be done too soon.
So my vote is for debaged!! IMO![]()
But my main issue is wether or not to put a "turbo" badge on, I'd like to pre-warn peeps, but then I like the fact without they aint got a clue.
What do you guys think??
Just thinkin on the old bill side of things?? Is it registerd as a turbo??????
