What mp3 unit you got? ipod? ipod uses the kca-420, but is about 80.00 new!

or if its any other mp3 palyer, then the normal ai-net cable will do for about 6.00 new

you cant use a direct ipod lead to headunit, and try to control the ipod, as the headunit needs a quick search function to operate the ipod, so thats where the kca-420 comes in, and acts as a go between.

With the ai-net cable, it plugs into the rear of the headunit and has a 3.5mm jack that plugs into the mp3 player headphone socket and you control the mp3 player direct.

It's not one of those shitty Apple products :)

I have ordered an ai-net cable, so if it is wrong I'm blaming you :P

Cheers!
