Got a 4 channel amp to mount in my touring. Anyone mounted one before and where? Only place I can think of that is discreet is the o/s luggage compartment in the boot. Bare in mind it needs room to stay cool.
Thanks

Got one screwed on the front of my sub box for a temp measure at the mo!!! (subs aim upwards and amp faces the back of the car!)
If i go ahead with my big install, i will be custom mounting an amp on each side in the boot!!
Did also consider the luggage compartments, but my amps will be too big!!
Spare wheel well might be an option too, depending on amp size!!
If it's small enough, it might go under the front passenger seat?
Could always screw it to the back of one of the rear seats and make a carpeted panel/box to hide it!!! That's pretty much what BMW did as standard in the 8 series!!

you could always use the rear pod and then add a brushless 12v fan, buy another pannel and build a vent into it so the fan can draw air into the cubby hole, also another vent higher up so the hot air can leave the area.
Run the fan via a fuse and relay and switch it from the amp on from the head unit.

How about cutting a hole at the top? of the cubby hole to mount this through it?

that is a nice find for the exhaust, give that a go but I would be tempted to mount on the side so as not to be as visible.
Also your hole lower down for inlet will need to be at least as big as the outlet.
Would be nice to find matching grills in a black plastic that look oem
