Amp Earth Point

Where is the best place to earth an amplifier on an e30? I don't want to drill into boot floor etc. Thanks

Think im right in saying the shorter the earth lead the better?
If thats the case depends where you have put it?

im installing amp and components tommorow... amp will be in the boot

I've got an amp mounted on the side of my sub, a short earth lead runs up the boot mounting bracket and fixes to one of the bolts holding the bootlid on, looks tidy!

i used a rear set belt anchoring bolt for earthing my amp

did you have to sand anything down to get bare metal? and did you treat it?

the bolt & threads were clean so the earth contact should be 100% i just loosened the bolt off and slid the spade connection in place and tightened it back down, no prob's and i'm using 6mm earth wire.
