I have 2 12" rockford fosgate 4ohm dvc subs and want the wire them to a mutant nw480sp 4ch amp.
I dont have the manual for the amp but as for as i can see it is bridgable but only for one connection if that makes sence .
Ӣ Mutant NW480SP
Ӣ 4 x 80 Watt RMS
Ӣ 4 x 160 Watt Max Power
Ӣ 2 Ohm Stable Bridgeable
Ӣ Variable HP Crossover 80Hz-1.2KHz
Ӣ Variable LP Crossover 40Hz-250Hz
Ӣ Variable Super Bass Booster 0-12dB
So to get the best out the amp and the subs am i right in thinking i should wire them as in the link treating the amp as a mono?
http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfiel ... m_mono.jpg
or am i totally wrong and need to do it another way.

Whats the spec of the subs?
You can wire them as in the diagram, or run them per channel (sub one ch1&2 sub two ch3&4)
but, if you do bridge, run both the subs from the amp, rather then daisy chaining them.

Only real men get it done with an M20

Don't know if I'm reviving a dead thread, but if you didn't get it figured out, I will copy Raj_p, don't daisy chain them. Wire the subs like in the diagram, with a + from one VC wired straight to the - of the other VC. With both subs wired like this, run the unused +'s together to a single + terminal at the back of the box (same for -'s) . This way, you only have one + and one - coming from the amp (bridged of course) running to the terminal at the back of the box. The terminal does the splitting, so no need for addictional splicing or connecting.
If you don't have a usable terminal at the back of the box, you can run the two +'s and two -'s from each sub straight to the amp, running them to the bridge terminals (two + wires in the + bridge, and two -'s wires in the - bridge)
You probably already got this explanation, or a better one from BadDave, assuming since this was 3 days ago... but hope to help you or anyone else looking at this thread.

Overloading= the cutting out. But you say you did get them running? how's you end up hooking it up?
