alright guys im a newbie to ice and know not a lot to bear with me.
ive fitted 6x9 to the shelf in my beam. ive made plywood lifters to allow me to fit the speakers, however, the magnet at teh base of both speakers is very very close to the chassis.
im now getting interference through the speakers, when the engine is running i can hear a wurring from the alternator, when the engine is off i can hear the cd player spinning the cd...obviously i dont want this!
what can i do to solve it? is it a case of moving the speakers away fromt he chassis, and if so by how much?
secondly i *think* i have a good earth on the inside of the drivers side wheel arch, this is just an earthing cable about 1m long, with an earthing eye on bodywork with the paint filed off, could this contribute to my average sound and interferance? how would i improve my earth?

is it possible that the speaker wires AFTER the amp before the speakers can be subject to interference?

You need to fit an inline suppressor to sort that out.
Do you have an amp wired in too?? if so linky below might help.
