Head Unit Options??

Having read some of the recent threads on retro headunits, I'm feeling the urge to get some better gear. Thinking more about actual period (80s/90s) rather than stuff that looks retro although i do quite like the CD43 option from the E36.

I want to run 2 tweeters & 4 speakers on it's own initially, but at some point I'll be looking to include an amp for a bit more performance. Not intending to go down the sub route and i need ipod control through the hu if possible. I'd rather not have to try and fiddle with the ipod on the go.

So the question is what headunits could i look at for about £100?
