A while ago I was fitting an amp, sub and some new speakers, managed to get it all working, but then one day, the stereo stopped working and just won't power up. I have checked the wires at the back and its all plugged in...

I need to check the fuse in the back of the head unit but if that dont work, what could cause this? Since it broke i unplugged all the add ons mentioned and put it back to how it was before hand but still not powering. Hopefully its simple and just the fuse, but anyone come across this before?

It could be a micro-fuse inside of the headunit (some can be replaced if opened, others are intergrated), i would double check the wiring anyway and make sure its earthing correctly.

If you have a fascia (removable screen) check the connections on these too.. mine play up in cold weather and wet morning.

Turns out it was the fuse in the engine bay, bumber 21... My rev counter had also stopped working, but all good again now...

there is never such a thing as "just a fuse" they blow for a reason so unless you fix the reason you can expect the thing to blow again
