Inlet manifold grind/sand?

has anyone grinded or sanded a m20 inlet manifold smooth (on the outside) and polished it up as i have started to do this on a spare i have, its starting to look good but will it weaken it or anything?

I doubt it will weaken anything but you will regret ever starting it
I did one a while ago and got it looking ok but never finished it

ive doneone pipe if that makes sense, took 2.5 hours but shines nice, i may just paint after but thats my adhd kicking in
