Flashdrive in car unit

Can anyone help me please with what might seem a dumb q?



I am interested in replacing my current car unit with one that can take a flashdrive



Experimenting on Windows Media I ripped 5 tracks from 5 different cds and put them in a separate library

i then synched the library to the stick



I notice that the stick stored the 5 cd's as five folders each containing its correct 5 tracks



So my q is this



If I select random play for the flashdrive in the car unit will it randomise within each folder only or over the whole contents?

Can you just confirm that the contents of your drive are in folders rather than discrete tracks

on mine they come up as cds with the name and when they play it comes up with the cd name and artist and the track name that is playing ...I assume you went online when you loaded the cds into your computer and got the cd identified and named in your library in media player...on the drive each cd is identified as a folder
