Let me have a ganders at the book for my Pioneer stereo where I read you can do this, its of a similar age, but slightly different. May have the correct buttons in common though!

Have you tried downloading a pdf manual from the pioneer website? It's worth a shot.

Is there a function button and an illumination button you press together?

Just shooting in the dark really

^that is a manual multipart download, both parts mneed to be downloaded and then needs to be unzipped by winzip or simular. If you give me you email address I will send it to you as a pdf.

BTW as far as I can see it doesn't tell you how to do it. It's a service manual with wiring diagrams mostly.

Who said it looked good?

You dont need an up to date 'bangin' system when youve got 6 cylinders screaming through an M3 Scorpion system

Out of interest, what do you have?
