colour code my mirrors??

hi

my e30's side mirrors are starting to look a bit tatty with scratches, im going to paint them soon, do you recommend i paint them black again, or same colour as the car (grey)?

To do them yourself is a bit of a job, might be better off trying to get correct coloured mirrors off a breaker! I assume its Dolhin Grey which is not that uncommon. Try PMing Chris Warburton on here who has a stash of everything and is a top bloke for what you might need and will more than liekly have some replacements for you in the same colour as your car.

If you repaint them using metallic paint, then yes, you will need to apply a clear/lacquer coat, else it will oxidise and go dull very quickly.
