Hi all,

On Ebay there are loads of different makes and prices of lowering springs. Some from £49.99 + £10 delivery, some £75 inc delivery, up to £100, £160 for 60/40 drop.

Now i know, the best/proper way is to either not do it at all, or do it right with shocks and springs. I also know that you get what you pay for etc etc

But, at the moment i want to lower the car (a 316 touring, with an M50) 60/40 and i want to know, out of the cheap springs on offer. Which is the "better" one?

Thanks Millsy

Unless anyone has some second hand as ill be changing/upgrading as and when funds allow.

alot of the 24valvers dont recommend 60/40 drops becuase the sump sits within firing range of alot of speed bumps! I was going to go down the 60/40 route until alot of people said to do a 35-40mm drop instead!

I have been told that 60 may be a bit much all round, but im thinking if i go 40/40 ill not be happy if theres still too much of a gap.

I think id rather go too low then raise it (or live with it winkeye )
than go not low enough and be unhappy with the height.

Its not as if im looking for practicality, i am in the middle of having my e30 M50'd and my other car is a Skyline.
Cant be much lower than this can it?
