kenwood mask security code

hello guys and girls ive been lucky enough to get my hands on a kenwood kdc-5018 head unit ive got the security code but no instruction manual and as far as i know its not a remote controled unit i can put the code in using the numbers 1-4 but then i have no idea which button i should use as the enter button
I NEED HELP please its driving me mad
ive never had this problem with any other stereo hhhhhhhhhhhhhheeellp

Have you tried looking for a pdf copy of the manual on Kenwoods website or any other site??

Try holding t.he disp button for a few seconds,think that how the older ones were done.

ive looked on the kenwood web site it asks you to enter the model no. but when i do the result comes back with another model no. its like mine dosent exsist its very
i will try holding the display button for a bit longer i will let you know how i get on

i think but dont quote me you press the source button to enter the code but its dead easy to get someone to remove the code completely

stereo sorted
thought i was gonna have to kick the fellas headin who i got it off ... probably not the best idea tho as he pays my wages any way it was the display button that i needed it takes a good while to accept so my thanks to eko,, big up the devon massive
and also baddave i used your link to check the info so thanks to you aswell but just to round this story off whilst messing with the stereo i thought i might chuck in an amp and 10" sub just for good measure bearing in mind it was dark and pi22ing it down got every thing ready to plug in and realised some ba5tard had nicked the fuses out my amp
