how are subs wired in

i'm new to this ice lark, so how are subs wired in?

do they need a power source etc?

Subs are connected to an amp, amp is connected to battery and headunit.

Sub get's it power from the amp.

ok thanks. i have an small amp running the two 6x9 speakers in the rear of my touring, so can i use this amp?

If your not too fussed with massive bass/power, then it should work okay.

Assuming you are going to run the sub from the amp only, not the speakers as well :?:
