Anyone know if there’s space to fit a second head unit in the centre console where some of the Hartage E30's have gauges??

Reason I’m asking is I’m buying a motorized Alpine screen of another zoner but would like to keep my current Alpine unit as the main sound processor as its shit hot, so would like to relocate my current unit to the centre console and have the motorized screen where the head unit would normally go

Heres a few pics so you understand where I want to fit my head unit better”¦”¦..

i dont think theres enough space behind that panel for a head unit to slide back into. i remember fitting my boost guage etc there and it was tight behind.

The first and second pics are E30's that have had the heater box removed.

The third pic is a mk3 fiesta!

The last pic you can see the heater box (black box) and this is what will cause you problems unless you dont mind driving in the cold!

If you want to be really clever you can mount the headunit under the driver seat and put the detachable face in a bracket in the sunvisor and solder the wires together. Pain in the butt but would be cool.

I'm liking ur thinking there not sure about mounting it in the sunvisor but the rest of the idea sounds interesting

They are linked together and work in sync with each other that's the good thing about high end alpine stuff it can be all linked together the screen is just for displaying videos and a radio tuner but my head unit controls both my amps and iPod they both have there own loom
