smallest tyre recommended on 8j rims???

Whats is the smallest size tyre i can fit on my 8j style 5's without making them look silly?

They are currently fitted with 235/45/17, but they are too chunky for my liking.

I don't want the stretch look tbh.

I think that profile may too high.

215/40/17 is what i got on my rc041s on a 8.5 and its a slight stretch not even noticable tell you the truth.

ive had 185/55/15s on my 15" 8j that didnt look to bad but was stretch abit so i just fitted 175/55/15 for more of a stretch.

205 40, you could run a 195 40 or 45 for more stretch

205 40 is what i run on my compact, on 8J wheels
