Look in the tech articles mate, there's a "how to" guide that I wrote.
Alternatively, if you don't feel comfortable doing your own, PM me and I'll do you a set.

Remove your tails, clean, mask the the tails exposing only the amber portion, spray the amber portion with Testors model paint, I used candy apple red translucent, a couple of coats will do, let them dry, spray them with a clear coat, I used Testors model clear coat, now you have red tails

If you screw up which I doubt you will, just take some solvent and remove it, one of the cheapest mods you can do that makes a noticeable improvement.

Outside, if you sprayed the inside the amber would still be visible.

You can tell it's been sprayed, texture is different from the rest of the tail but only if you if you're VERY close and looking for it. Since you're using model paint you will need to touch it up every so often, mine have been done for a year and still look fine.

No problem, I used that article when I did my tails, all red tails should have been a factory item imo.nav786 wrote:egk thanks matey that was very useful. will giv it a bash during the week.

Seriously? It has the legal border/character separation distance, but i spose that means nothing if you get stopped by a prat.Watch you rear plate in wiltshire **** area m8

I will check the can when I get home tonight - I bought it from a motor factor in Canterbury....Just two coats of the paint - no laquer, and you would never know unless you knew I had done it and looked very hard.

hi guys, im hopefully gona get some red tint spray and so that ma self, il get a tin of laquer and spray it on top for a glassy effect,
a mate of mine who owns a very good bodyshop reccomends to put a bit of red paint to your taste and add it to laquer and spray gun the lights,
thats only if you got a compressor and spray gun tho ;)
egk2 i love your car man, its spot on. looks euro stylee
