do e30 convertibles run the same suspension setup as coupes/saloons?

ive seen cheap suspension kits for the coupes etc, but nothin at all the for the verts, just springs.

Nope convertible and touring suspension is slightly different. Suspension is stiffer/harder to cope with the extra weight on the back :)

Hottuning do a cheap kit at £140ish for the convertible, i have one fitted to mine 8)

i really doubt there is much real difference, so long as the kit you buy is correct for the engine and strut size. i.e 4cyl or 6cyl and 41mm strut vurses 51mm struts (cabs all have the larger 51mm size FYI).

If you have a 6 cyl then buy the 6 cyl with 51 mm struts.

if you have the 4 cyl then you need a 4 cyl with 51 mm struts.

Do you have a 318? It will be 4cyl

320/325 are 6cyl

You could fit the springs but i wouldn't recommend it tbh.

Ride will be rather harsh and probably bumpy

this is what i have on mine with no problems, but the car will not handle as well as if you put proper shocks on to match the springs, its all about show but not really go.

Yes i belive all cabs have 51 mm struts irregardless of the engine, you should also have rear disks brakes???

It should do, all cabby's and touring's have rear discs and 51mm struts as standard regardless of engine capacity 8)
