Anyone know how I can either build or buy a power loom for the stereo that taps into the main accessory connector above the glovebox?

As per a lot of older cars, the wiring for the stereo in mine is pretty dire - switched live comes from the brake pedal switch, the main live from the hazards light.. scotchlocks and sellotape.. ugh

Reading a few threads here I've determined that theres a special place in the accessory connector for the stereo, and even made up my own lead to hook it up (nice thick wire). However the pins in the connector fit none of my standard insulated crimps, so now I'm stuck.

Once upon a time it seems you could buy the genuine lead, or at least one with the plug and tails. Is this still available? Or alternatively, has anyone got a lead on what crimps I could use to plug straight onto the accessory connector?
