hi all

newbie here got a couple of questions which i probably get slated for here we go

i have just inherited a j reg 1992 320i cab its totaly standard apart from a reiger front lip and 17" alpina wheels on it

1st question is that my hoods frame along the drivers side above the rear window has snapped from where it is supposed to bend from so that it can fold it has totaly broken now is this part of the frame changeable or is it a new hood

2nd question the hood on my j reg is electric i used to own a d reg 325i convertible years ago and that had a manual hood which was simple to use just want to know if the hoods are the same or is there a difference ie extra connections for where the motor connects to the frame

3rd question is as its totally standard i would like a mtec 2 kit on the car as its had a scrape down the driverside and i d rather get it repaired and put the kit on now i ve been offered from a mate his kit but it is off a 2 door coupe will it fit i mean the door panels and the side skirts

any help much appreciated pls easy on the abuse iam a newbie
thanks in advance

Frames come out easy and are interchangeable. I swaped a manual one for an electric one and took the arm off that goes to the hood motor.

Apart from the side skirt's, yes the kit will fit, As long as yours is a plastic bumer (face lift) model.
