White spirit and plenty of elbow grease, the all red's I bought cheap off Ebay were DIY jobbies and were a pain in the arse to make legal.
I took them right back to standard then re-tinted them a few shades lighter so they still flash orange-ish, as long as they are visually more yellow than the rear sidelights then they should be ok.

Product called " De-Solvit", liquid or spray. Completely harmless to ALL materials, even skin. Its absolutely brilliant, Ive used it loads of times on all sorts, even clear plastic headlight screens. Works really well and shifts almost anything, available at your DIY store or some Tesco's. NON TOXIC & NON ABRASIVE
