i'm about to produce a run of them for zoners at Ԛ£35 painted. trimming in vynal will be 50 extra plus petrol - the trimmer is 20 miles away so 80 miles but i know fowler wants his trimmed so at least petrol costs are halved if you want this option.

yep and yep.
date - this week now, work goes well and gives me some time.
pics:

i have mine trimmed in grey vynal that matches the lower half of the dash.
the builds house the mid-bass drivers only - tweeter positioning is down to you.

not sure about the manual window winder version. my tweeters are mounted exactly where the winders sit as it gave me a handy reference point on the door cards. if you post the length of the of your winder handle i'll measure my setup and let you know how much clearance there is between handle and pod at the nearest points.

not the current design that i'm making - no. my first set kept the pockets - they're in andy335tourings car - but the curve to pocket area is very difficult to trim...

thats not really a shame i spose cos the fact of greatly increasing sound quality and imaging outweighs havin a place to throw ur cd's! have you thought of 8" sub build in addition to the 6.5" mids just for the wow factor. im thinkin of makin builds to go in the kickpanels so there's nothing to see if u peer in the windows late at nite in a car park. thinkin the best way on that one is to cut the grilles off and make mdf rings and use plenty of p38 but its making sure a size 9 doesnt catch on the drivers side and the bonnet pull on the other.

hi all im back after having to sort out new email address to get replies on the forum. aside from door builds has anybody tackled putting speakers in the the rear " doors" on the 2 door models. i want to leave my shelf speakers out so i can get more bass into the car but still want some rear fill. is there much room behind the the trim panels to get 6.5" drivers in and would they need any strenghtening or would some dynamat behind them be sufficient?

Hi, Thers a lot of room begind the rear quarter pannells. I just sold an interior with big speakers built in them. They dont need strengthening either, but when cutting the hols dont make them too high, or you will never slide the rear pannell in place.tomtomiS wrote:hi all im back after having to sort out new email address to get replies on the forum. aside from door builds has anybody tackled putting speakers in the the rear " doors" on the 2 door models. i want to leave my shelf speakers out so i can get more bass into the car but still want some rear fill. is there much room behind the the trim panels to get 6.5" drivers in and would they need any strenghtening or would some dynamat behind them be sufficient?
