Hello all,
About to fit my old kit back into the car after a de-rusting session last month, but before it goes back in and I make a mess of it instead.
Where are the key locations of most annoying rattles and other vibrations?
Ta.
Also how good is dynamat, and what other stuff would you guys suggest???

Mtec 2 stuff is back on already. I was referring to (in my head) my amp and subwoofer.

I did a complete sound proofing of my 320i
Used black bitumen sound proof pads from Ebay (3 packs) and 100mm wide weather sealing tape from B & Q (2 rolls)
Best done in warm weather and wash down panels with thiners first.
Stick the stuff everywhere and seal any holes in the bulkhead (scutle)to the engine bay.
Back of back seat really helps as does covers over petrol pump under seat
Spray inside doors with underseal.
Put in extra foam or underlay under carpets and seats
Pads behind standard speakers help
Now put back all the trim and listen to --- nothing!
(Until you hit 4500 RPM then bliss)
the extra weight is next to bugger all and its well worth it if you have the interior out
