hi all, im the proud owner of a 89 318i tintop and soon getting 15"bbs wheels. im looking at lowering it about 40mm i recon but wondering if you know of the best budget spring at under £100. im not after superb performance at this money of course, but the best i can get for this money:D

also out of interest whats the most you can lower an e30 on 17" without modifications?

any help greatly received:)

Hottuning do a very good budget suspension kit, £139 IIRC. For under a £100, you could probably pick up a decent second hand kit.

I had my E30 lowered 40mm on 17" and had no problems :)

Mines dropped 40mm on Ventura springs, personally I think it's lower than that, still got a decent ride though, beware though if your exhaust hangs a little low as mine does, you will have to plan your routes to avoid sleeping policemen.

This is the back end, it's settled quite a bit since that pic and is actually a bit lower still.

I bought a set of springs for my son's 318i from GSF for under £60.00
these were about 30mm drop and give a really good ride.
