Hi all,

has anybody mounted some 3-way component up front an E30 ?
Speaking of 16.5cm woofers in the kick panels, 8cm mid-range in the door, and tweeter up the A-pilar or the original tweeter pod mirror level.

With that setup, I think that would make a pretty decent sound, coupled with an Alpine HU and an amp.

Also maybe no real need for a subwoofer.

Has it been done ? And what do you think ?

Alo is that easy to mount 16.5cm speakers in the front, and would they clear the hood handle and glovebox easily with adapter rings ??

Thanks for help if you can !

Ive had 2 way crossovers with tweeters in the door pods and 2 ways in the parcel shelf and there great.

Not sure if theres space for the magnet for those size speakers in the footwell.

I've got a 6 1/2" sub/mid bass in a door pod with 5 1/4" in the std footwell space and tweet's in the tweeter pods in the tourer with comps in the rear as well.

The ones I made are very similar to the ones available from Audioscape

http://audioscape.co.uk/inc/enclosures/products/bmw.php
OR from Audiosport.
