hi all,

im new to e30's so will probably be posting loads of questions. hope this is ok with everyone.

anyway, whats the widest rim i can fit on a e30, i have a convertible if that makes any difference. i am looking at putting on 16's with stretched tyres. what width and ET can i go upto on the front and also on the rear.

thanks in advance.

I've just fitted some 9J wide rear alloys on my cabby and on a 40mm drop i have no issues with rubbing. They are ET 15 IIRC

You can fit 10J wide alloys but probably need to modify the arches a bit.

How low you drop the car makes a difference

Cool, do you have any pics of your car with the 9's on? I can see the pic under your log I name and that does look cool.

You'll have to modify the rear arches to fit 10J wheels (roll them or flare them).

What wheels are they?

Whole thing depends quite a lot from the tire you're going to use. Even in same size tires there're lots of differences on the edge-shape.

10" ET15 is good size for the rim, in the front i'd go for ET10 with 8,5" wide rim to get same look to the front as will be in the back.

jonsku, where can i find pics of your cab? looks sweet in your sig.

i was doing my calculations and was thinking the same with regards to et, i will be stretching the tyres, probably 225's on the 10's.

i am trying to get hold of the person who was selling them and he is not answering his phone. i want these rims now i know you can get 9's on without problems.
