I finally found a 370mm MTech1 'wheel (thanks Dips), but the stripey bit in the bottom spoke is tatty. So I temporarily put some black tape over it.....

As the car has nothing (visible) remotely MTech, I was thinking about keeping the tape. OK, so I know the stripey bit is only pennies but what's the point of having the stripes on a non-MTech car?
Thoughts please.

I WANT ONE OF THESE!!!!!!! Been looking for years. I reckon get the new m stripes. It's so rare it needs to be as it should be.... if that makes sense.

I did think about that. Haven't made a final decision yet, I just wanted it to be tidy for the time being.

Me too. Practically all the time I've had the car - and that's nearly 5 years now. If I had a pound for every eBay seller I've sent the "can you tell me the diameter please?" question to.....

Good point, I'll bear it in mind.

If you've got two tech 1's that are 370mm I'd be suprised. I'll have one off you if it's in good nick.

The visual difference is the gap between the leather and the two top spokes. it's the same width as the tri stripe badge on a 385. On a 370 the leather virtually meets the spoke as per the photos of Stu's.
