Just switched my stainless scorpion exhaust from my old red E30 to my new black one and noticed that the numpty in the bodyshop has blasted a section of the exhaust in red paint when he did the rear valance a couple of years ago.

Turps, a scrubbing brush and some elbow grease or will that feck up the finish.

Also whats best to buff up a stainless steel exhaust - brasso ? :o:

Nail polish remover / acetone is great for removing all kinds of stuff. Supermarkets sell stuff called Bar Keepers friend (or something similar - it's a vaguely dalek - shaped blue bottle) which is brilliant for chrome.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

I'd have thought that now the paint's dry, it wouldn't dissolve in thinners.

Give it a go with some original T-Cut on a rag. It's mildly abrasive so it should remove the paint easily if it's only some overspray, and it'll give the stainless a nice shine up too :)
