hey guys ...did anyone here ever fitted a m tech 2 kit to a cabrio ? i am having dificulties with fitting the outer panles and side skirts ,can't locate the drilling jigs for the skirts on realoem or bmwfans.info ,and the guys at my local dealership said it doesn't need drilling ,although i'm 99% sure they don't know what they are talking about, because the car doesn't have any holes on the beneath the door , and the plastic m tech skirt clearly fits by clamps inserted in holes drilled in the bodywork .....so , any ideea ?

Firstly, have you got the right kit, as the sills for the cabs are deeper because of the "GIRDERS" on the sides of the cab.
They do need to be drilled for the clips.
If you've got a normal kit, they will be difficult to fit.
Everything else should go on no prob.

as above the tech 2 kits for cabs are specific for the cab, and secondly i assume you have the ''facelift'' cab??

You don't need to drill the doors. All you need to drill is the side skirts (~20 holes / side), and those are on different places than in 2/4 door.
I drilled my holes without any jigs, went without problems (you can use the side-list holes for locating new holes). You'll get it when you play with the parts for a while

Hey guys I have just broken my sport and i am saving up for a cabby. I have taken the kit off and am hoping to fit it to the cabby..
Has anyone got skirts for a cabby?? or as I hear they can be 'modified to fit'
Any help would be great
thanks
Chris
