Can anyone advise on where/how I should fit my CD changer? I want it in the boot somewhere and was thinking of attaching it to the underside of the parcel shelf...
- Is this the best place for it? Where do you guys have yours?
- How would I fit it here? Do I have to make my own bracket to attach it, or are generic ones available?

Any help or suggestions you can give would be great.

I've seen one on the shelf between the rear speakers, not sure I'd do it myself, but it's an idea. Easy to get to.

My dad had his mounted on the underside of the parcel shelf. Worked fine there if you ask me.

Probably the best place is under the parcel shelf. You can mount it in the space at either side of the boot, vertically, but there's the risk of a water leak into that area in these old cars now.

Make sure you don't drill all the way through the parcel shelf when you mount it.

It should come with a bracket to mount it. What make is it?

You know how to remove the rear seat to run the cable?

Run the cables under the gear lever and handbrake trim, under the carpet and rear seats into the boot through the hole behind the rear passenger seat.

It's an old JVC one that I found residing in the glove box when I bought the car! It didn't have a bracket with it, but it does have holes in the case for attaching a bracket. Where would I find a bracket to fit? Or do I need to make my own?

I've got the cables in place and ready now. :thumb:

For what it's worth in hassle it would probably be easiest to make some brackets, but speak to your local JVC dealer and they may have something. I have some old Alpine brackets for a CD changer but they are probably different.
