Anyone ever heard of detailing clay and if so, ever used it?

Intrigued as to what it does, etc. so can anyone help?

I have heard of it, its often used by professional car valeters. After you wash your car run your hand over the paint, you will probably feel little imperfections. The clay is rubbed gently over the paint to remove the imperfections prior to polishing.

I believe this is right but is anyone knows better please let me know

I was being told about this the other day, sounds like too much hassle for me but there's a local guy who will valet the whole car for Ԛ£250 and will include doing this, must give a wicked finish to the paint!

Thats a bit steep. I use clay on my car and it makes the paint feel so smooth.

Have a look on the Meguiars website, they explain about it. www.meguiars.co.uk
