Hi All
I'm after your opinion on this audio set up for my 325 H reg Cab. Firstly 5 1/4 alround, 12" Sub in the rear.
Rears:
Alpine SPR-13C - http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /5772.html
Fronts:
Alpine SPR-13S - http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /5770.html
Sub:
Alpine SWR-1242D - http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /3891.html
Then keeping with the theme I want to match the set up with Alpine AMPs either 1x4 channel amp or 2x2 channel amps for the speaks then a big mono block Alpine amp for the sub.
Your thoughts please.

looks like an awsome setup
a mono block amp and a 4 channel would be best but will cost more £££££

not too sure what would be the best box tbh
my personal choice would be a sealed box as there more puncy
http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /1009.html ????????
ive got the same box as that but mine is a cheapo 40 quid sub, not sure if a better/bigger box would be any better for yours

Fronts should do the trick
Rears are OK but comps should be better
Sub is good enuff. make sure you fit it in the recommended volume enclosure
4 channel amp to run f+R and a mono or 2 channel to run he sub
run the sub at 2 ohms for efficiency

The ones i use do sound better, but they're in a tourer with an active crossover and time alignment
Sub produces loooooooooooow freq's in the 20hz-100hz area
You can't hear below 20hz and above 120hz is referred to as mid bass
Don't get me wrong, the ones listed above will still be better than the #OE setup
AND i'd hazard a guess and say the sub will require an enclosure of around 1 -1.25 cu ft for it to work at it's best
This is just a guide as i'd need the Thiele small parameters to work it outor look at the documentation that comes with it re optimum cabinet size

Alex.
The co ax's have a small tweeter nuilt in.
No need to fit another set
IF you do, make sure they have an inline passive x-over or high pass filter so they only get the higher freq's

The switch will probably change the x-over frequency and possibly the slope as well
Could always adjust the treble a bit from the head unit

Your front setup should provide most of your sound
Rears are just to provide "ambience" in a properly designed/setup system
You should be able to close your eyes and just hear everything at dash level(with the car stationary and handbrake on)

I don't know yet, space is a big issue in cab boots. Ideally i want to use up the space under where the roof folds into. I have measured that i have about 11" top to bottom so looking for probably 8", want 10" but probably too big

Yeah hopefully once it's installed and fitted professionally. Got a mate who does custom installs so going to get him to do it, if not then do it myself

Going back to what was said earlier about the focus being on the front speakers, do you think it's worth while not buying the rears and spending more on the fronts to get a better set of comps?

yes i think that would be a way to go and then uprate the rears at a later date

Looks ok for the front and rears you will need a heavier gauge for the sub
