Mine came with a plastic housing which I have cut the foam to exactly the same shape meaning zero glue, screwing required. Bare in mind you'll need plastic screws in the head rests due to HI in crash. The last thing you want is a 6" wood screw stuck in the back of your skull on impact.

I bought a set of headrests already mounted with the t.v's.
Case of out with the origional ones and put the others in place.
Only thing with these is that their not height adjustable.
No worries for me though, their in my wifes ML for the kids.

Oh for the e46, yea they are on a side mount, only way then is to have them installed proffesionally. If you take them out the audio guys normally send them away to be done.
Pricey mind, as I was quoted about another £120 on the price diff.
So bought the all in ones.

The headrests don't fit straight into the e30 headrests do they?
