hello
Ive only just got my (d reg)316,and ive seen another e30 with a flushed tailgate,and i was told you can buy a panel to flush it off.Anyone know
where i can get one from?and how much?

, sorry, but still tailgate related. I'm replacing the lower glass seal due to shrinkage. Is it a straight forward pull out push in job or will the glass need to come out?
Back on topic, i'm with 320 touring, it looks nasty!

the strip is simple pull out and the two side trims are plastic and curl upwards from the sides to click out

I have to disagree, I reckon a smoothed tailgate with the reg plate recessed into the rear lower apron would look OK.

Not sure about the relocated 'plate. Maybe if it had a reflector panel between the light clusters.................??

They just look awful, maybe on a hatchback e.g. a Golf which has a less angular bootlid, but I don't think they suit E30s at all
