Were the boot and front grille ///M badges an option on the E30s?
I'm thinking about putting them on but I want to keep the car original.

im sure sports came out the factory with a M grill badge,
i laugh to myself when i see 316s with M badges on,
unless its a genuine sport or sport replica dont do it!
if your going to put one on go for the original design and not the ones that e46s have (curved)
its down to personal preferance (dirty six boys love em)
i have seen them on quite a lot of zoners cars!
not sure if sport had one on the boot when it came out of the factory!

Alex - I beg to differ. They look great if on the right car.
Apparently they were an option from the factory. I have one on my grille and it looks golly spiff if you ask me.

leeparkes, when you say sports, is the 318is a sport? I like the look of those badges. Does the one on the boot go on the left hand side?

I just de-badged the rear Mtec badge on my silver Sport...I think they look gay! Everyone has them on the E36's, E46's 4 door saloons lol! De-badged is the best. Front badges are okay if it's a Sport or replica. Took me a while to realise.

when i say sports i mean a 325i sports,(like hubbles above)
im not sure what side it goes on the rear, and im not sure if e30s came out the factory with one on the rear!!!!
if you like the look of them then get one,and if it doesnt suit your car then drop it on ebay
nothing ventured,nothing gained.

NO non M powered UK spec e30's left the factory with M badges. Alas lots were added by opportunistic dealers and deluded owners !

Up to you fella. If you want them - put them on! If you're happy with them who cares what anyone thinks!
