Ive just bought a Alpine HU, (9872) and am looking to upgrade my shot speakers.

Question is this, is it worth spending silly money?

Im not a huge music nut, i dont have an "ear". So will i really be able to tell the difference between cheap or expensive speakers?

If anybody has any recommendations for 5.25" speakers im all ears, ta

you wont need to spend silly money but you might want an amp to get the full potential out of the speakers otherwise they will sound pretty much the same

I can recommend Hertz Dieci 130 components. Cost about 70 quid.
Sound is great from them - definately livens up the sound in the front if you install the tweeters in the tweeter pods.
