The old speakers in the front foot wells in my car are going home. Can anyone recommend some good replacements which fit nicely?

depends how much you want to spend and what you are running them on.
i would say components are a good buy, but it does come down to how much you want to spend.

There are loads on EBay - I had some Vibe SA-K50's in my previous cars and they're very good - can pick them up for about £30.
I've recently fitted the stock 40W panasonic ones in the front footwells as the car originally didn't come with a stereo therefore no speaker fitted ! - Anyway fitted them and some vinyl kitchen floor befind them and fitted this to the fixings and they sound great!

Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.
